For Cinimod

The Nothing Room at MOIR was a spatial exploration of absence -  a chamber designed to give physical form to the concept of "nothing." Conceived as part of the Museum of Infinite Realities, the installation played with perception, silence, and light to evoke the void.

Anechoic geometries swallowed sound, while a Vantablack wall and central disk erased depth and contour. Subtle lighting effects created moments of cosmic drama, evoking the event horizon of a black hole and inviting visitors into a state of meditative disorientation — a confrontation with scale, silence, and the limits of sensory experience.

Services

Creative Direction, Lighting Design.

I led the creative direction and design of the Nothing Room, developing the spatial concept, material palette, and the lighting concept.

I engineered the room’s visual properties, working with Vantablack and custom lighting sequences to create a sense of collapse and infinity.

My role spanned ideation to technical delivery, with a focus on how intangible ideas - like nothingness - can be felt viscerally through form, absence, and carefully orchestrated sensory cues.
